A gemstone is the naturally occurring crystalline form of a mineral, which is desirable for its beauty, valuable in its rarity and durable enough to be enjoyed for generations.

There are endless varieties of Gemstones and many are a rare collector gemstones. Some are from the History and ancient times and some we know today. Although some gemstone varieties have been treasured since before history began and others were only discovered recently, they are all nature’s gifts to us. Most of the Gemstones were used as jewelry even in the ancient times and are still used as jewelry today. Treated gemstones can be a good choice because they are affordable then untreated stones but it is still said that if you are wearing a gemstone for an astrological remedy it will be better to purchase a new one as the new gemstone will have more healing power then an older one. Gemstones have always been an attraction to the human beings since ancient times and have long used as jewelry. The only thing required was its purity and beauty.

Citrine Yellow Glass Gemstone

These glass gemstones are cast in molds using the SRB (Standard Round Brilliant) pattern. The above diagram illustrates their approximate proportions for faceters interested in them as preforms for recutting. A Spinning Wheel 40 and a Soda Bar 19 recut from these glass gemstones won the synthetic division of the 2008 and 2009 OPLC Faceters Hobnob Most Beautiful Gemstone Competitions respectively.

Please Note: We are discontinuing selling these glass gemstones due to the manufacturer changing their production process to a colored film deposited over clear glass instead of coloring the glass through-and-through. The new film-colored gemstones are more easily marred, less colorfast, and are of course unsuitable as a source of colored glass for recutting. Our remaining inventory is old stock dyed glass, not film covered. When these are gone, they’re gone…
